Giovana Birck (b. 1995) is a Brazilian artist based in Vancouver, Canada. Working across painting and drawing, her practice explores how much can happen within simplicity.

Through form, colour systems, and self-imposed rules, she explores how complexity can emerge from simple visual elements. Her experience of migration shapes an ongoing interest in how perception shifts with distance and place. This sensitivity to context also extends from her background in digital and spatial design, informing her attention to scale and how a work is experienced within its surrounding space.
